This is a huge race, for personal reasons. My in-laws across the country are gathered around the TVs, and at the Pimlico Race Course in Maryland to see Macho Again. If you listen to The Sports Bizzo podcast, I told you to watch out for this horse, because my parents in-law own him. He’s good, but he’s a big long shot. Big Brown is looking to have a shot at the Triple Crown today, and there are a lot of horses poised to stop that run. Let’s get to the betting.

Since I don’t have bets on this, we’ll just mimic the Derby. I’d put $5 to win on Macho Again 30-1, and $5 to win on Hey Bryn 20-1. My pick to win it all, Big Brown 1-2, I’d put $20 on to win. A $5 exacta box on Big Brown 1-2 and Macho Again 30-1. Another $5 exacta box on Big Brown 1-2 and Yankee Bravo 15-1. A $5 exacta on Big Brown 1-2 and Icabad Crane 30-1. A $2 trifecta box on Big Brown 1-2, Kentucky Bear 15-1, Gayego 8-1. Lastly, my $2 superfecta box pick Big Brown 1-2, Gayego 8-1, Yankee Bravo 15-1 and Macho Again 30-1.
