This sucks. I wrote a really kick ass breakdown of everything that pissed me off about last year’s Mavs season. A post-mortem of sorts. I was writing it all on my cell phone as an email to Toph. And then my phone died. And it doesnt work like a computer. It doesn’t save a damn thing.

So you guys are the ones that will have to suffer through it, because I plan on recapping what my thought process was at the time, but in a real hurried, choppy way, kinda like watching the Zapruder film of “Jon’s Mavs 2008 Post-Mortem.”

Lucky you.

My story broke down into Five Major Points:

1. We didn’t make any offseason moves going into last season. That was a mistake, because it led 2. the Jason Kidd Trade. This was a panic move to say the least, Gasol to L.A. Shaq to Phoenix. Kidd to the Mavs.  I think the Mavs got the worst of the 3. Trading away Devin Harris. He was the only young, good player we had. He played for the Mavs for several seasons, never got a nickname. He played for the Nets about a week. His nickname, “The Blur”. Don’t believe me, check out this LINK, fast forward to the minute fifty 4. Mark Cuban trading away Diop and George almost holding up the whole damn thing. Obviously they were expendable parts. It wouldn’t have been so bad if 5. Months later, Cuban didnt re-sign Diop and George. But he did.

I just hope this isn’t a sign of things to come. I don’t think I can take a repeat of last season.

That was pretty much it. I didn’t have a whole lot else to say, and at the moment, I couldn’t give a shit less.

Because, it’s football season, dude.

Nuts to basketball.
