Welcome to The Sports Bizzo. Thought I’d give you guys a little background on what to expect, when to expect it and how amazing it will be.
Circa 2000, Jon (of A Semi Modest Proposal and PigSeven) and I (Toph) thought we were so clever, witty and amazing that we needed our own sports-related radio show. I guess we thought we could sort of be the Opie and Anthony (but sexier) of sports radio. Sadly, this dream died, and wasn’t resurrected till 2008, when Jon said we should start a sports podcast. Luckily for him, and me, I get shit done. Since the first mention of a podcast, we haven’t looked back. Gathering on Skype every week, Jon and I create podcasts detailing weekly sports events, 90s hip hop, growing up in the 90s and a couple of tangents here and there. Along the way, we’ve added a couple of Bizzo Staffers to help us keep the site up-to-date, and keep you guys coming back. Naturally, none of us wouldn’t be doing any of this if we didn’t want someone to hear it or read it, and discover us. Thus making us incredible famous and/or rich.
What can you expect from The Sports Bizzo?
- A new podcast each Wednesday (or Thursday, sometimes Monday or Tuesday, and Friday)
- Discussions on the latest sports news, plus some classic shit
- Probably a lot of fights on who was hotter: Kelly Kapowski or Lisa Turtle
- In depth analysis from some of the wittiest, most knowledgeable group of nobodies around
We’re not a typical sports blog, so if you just want a site to reiterrate what you’ve on heard on ESPN, or break news you’ve never heard, then this isn’t the place. We’re writing opinion articles on teams that we love and that we hate. So, we’ll probably never mention the Royals, Bucks or well, Bucs. We will talk about why certain games gives us a semi, our fantasy sports/Madden teams and why Jessica Simpson will lead to the fall of the Romo Empire.
Oh, and we’re going to give you the hottest photos of any sports site (who has not hired their own models…).
So, expect those things and more. We’ll hit you guys with daily blogs, links and the hottest photos, from our Bizzo Staff. Now, go ahead and hit that sexy RSS button to subscribe to us. Comment on the articles, start conversations, and find us all over the web. Cause it’s going to be awesome, y’all.
I’d be a fool not to say that we owe a great deal of gratitude to Ray and Ed. Ray, who is hosting and designing this shit, and Ed who I’m just going to call our producer (cause he produces).
